About Zorro
Meet Zorro, an 8.4kg Jack Russell Terrier cross who embraces life with cheerful enthusiasm. He's a well-mannered, housetrained lad who enjoys the simple pleasures in life, not the least of which is heading off to his crate for a night's rest when tired.
Zorro's motivation for obedience and training comes in the form of treats, particularly chicken which seems to be a fan favourite. He is crate trained and does a remarkable job at keeping his ‘den’ clean.
Zorro does need supervision when food is around, especially around other dogs, as his enthusiasm for life extends to his mealtimes too. He'll also benefit from a little extra leash training, as he's become a smidge reactive on walks. Yet, with consistent, positive reinforcement, he’ll soon be a star.
The ideal partner for Zorro would be someone who spends a lot of time at home and has previous experience with dogs. This will help in giving him the structure and routine he craves. He does best as an only pet, where he can be the center of attention and the star of the show.
Given his active and bouncy nature, he may not be the best fit for small children or frail individuals but he tends to make a great companion for those capable of keeping up with him.
In sum, Zorro is an affectionate, lively, and fun-loving pet who's ready to give you his unwavering loyalty. He's searching for a loving home where he can remain active, learn new tricks, and provide plenty of rides on the fun train with his exuberant personality. A home that can offer love, regular walks and a disciplined, structured environment will aid Zorro in adjusting and developing into the wonderful companion he is.
Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
