About Coco
Not available for interstate adoption
Must go to a home with at least one younger, friendly, playful and well-adjusted dog, no exceptions.
PROFILE AND NEEDS IN A HOME
Coco is an active and confident little lady but can also wind down for a good cuddle session.
Her favourite activities are exploring new experiences and playing in water, so no issues with toilet training on wet/damp grass... lol!
Being only about 9 weeks of age, Coco is not fully toilet trained yet, however is doing well, she will usually indicate when she needs to go potty, giving you time to take her outside to do her business. Her new family must be prepared to continue her toilet training using consistent force-free and reward-based training methods.
Her carer says she is a delightful bundle of fun antics when she's awake, but also loves snuggling up with her carer on the couch for some well-earned nap time.
Coco is currently living with her mum, siblings, and a large breed dog. She has also met a friend's cat, and all of her interactions with the various animals she has met and live with have been very appropriate.
Coco's coat so far appears to be non-shedding, but we cannot guarantee this will always be the case. She will need regular brushing to keep her coat neat and may need some grooming when she gets older.
As Coco is still only very young, she would be best suited to a home where his new family are not away from home for long periods of time.
Coco MUST be rehomed with another younger friendly, playful and well-adjusted canine companion of around the same size who can help show Coco how to dog.
Like all of our dogs, Coco must have access inside at all times and be permitted to cuddle on the couch and sleep inside preferably in the bedroom.
Coco will need a family committed to continuing his ongoing puppy training using only force-free reward-based methods and one where she can be included in activities where possible once she is fully vaccinated and not just left in the backyard.
Being a Terrier mix Coco will need an active home with daily walks and adventures and her new owners will need to also provide him with daily mental stimulation.
Coco's coat so far appears to be non-shedding, but we cannot guarantee this will always be the case. She will need regular brushing to keep her coat neat and will need professional grooming when she gets older.
If you would like to meet Coco, please send us some details on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your dogs and any other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Coco would be alone, where she will have access in the home, where Coco would go if you went away and could not take her with you, ability to cover grooming and vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide so that we can see if Coco is a good match.
Medical notes
The adoption fee includes vet checks, microchip, vaccinations and desexing. Coco is too young to be desexed at this time and her new owner must be able to return Coco to our vet in Beverly Hills Sydney for her third and final vaccination and desexing.
Coco will need regular professional grooming
Adoption details
SAS will arrange a "meet and greet" with our rescue pet with suitable adopters. Prior to this meet and greet a short home visit will be carried out to check fencing, access inside and internal living areas of the home (not bedrooms). In some circumstances photos and videos can be provided.
We offer a two-week trial period if after the meet and greet we feel that the rescue pet and the prospective family are well matched.
