About Blaze
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE
**Before applying, please remember that adopting a puppy into your home is a huge commitment, and very demanding of your time. Puppies require daily exercise, positive and varied socialisation, grooming, training and playtime. When applying, please consider your work hours, holidays, and how busy your personal life is. Puppies will need someone who is home for most of the day with regular focused input, especially in those first six months after adoption **
NAME: Blaze (my humans think I will be small to medium)
BEFORE SAFE ESPERANCE: Came to SAFE Esperance from the pound with his 2 sisters.
BREED: Mixed breed (we have not sighted his parents)
********************************************************************************
ASSETS: Independent, happy, playful and confident. He also loves his food!
FAVOURITE THINGS: Blaze is a typical puppy with bursts of energy where he loves to rough and tumble with his siblings and play with his toys. He will play for a while then settle down with his siblings for a snooze before waking up and doing it all over again!
ENDEARING FEATURES: He’s great with everyone he meets and Blaze and his siblings are all very affectionate. They love to cuddle and snuggle under your chin, especially Blaze!
OTHER ANIMALS: Being a young puppy, he will get on well with other friendly dogs after gentle, supervised introductions and would go well in a home with either another youngish dog to play with, or a home where he gets to meet other dogs regularly. He could live with a dog-savvy, confident cat, again after gentle introduction. The pups are being fostered on a small holding and are used to seeing goats and cows in the paddock and they help mum put the chooks away at night - although mum isn't always convinced they are helping!
GENERAL INFO: Blaze will need training for pretty much everything as he’s so young at present. He isn’t housetrained yet so will definitely need help in this area too. Expect accidents while he’s settling into his new home and routine! He’ll benefit greatly from puppy school and ongoing classes into adulthood where he can mix with other dogs, and this is a commitment we will expect from his new owner. We expect these pups to be small to medium sized when fully grown but there are no guarantees.
ESSENTIALS for Blaze:
** a loving home where someone is there for most of the day especially in the first six months after adoption
** a home where he is treated as part of the family and is allowed to be inside or out as he needs and to sleep inside at night
** a decent sized garden where he can run, play, sniff and explore
** attendance at puppy school and continued training into adulthood for him to learn and grow confidence
** continued positive, gentle exposure and socialisation
** Blaze will have bursts of energy while a pup and will be medium energy as an adult dog.
Blaze could live with dog-savvy gentle children over 6 years of age who will play and interact with him gently but know when to give him space.
