About Pixie
Pixie is ears and personality plus! She's bold, she's daring, she absolutely loves attention and affection and she is her happiest self when she is hanging with her humans.
Part Staffie, part Frenchie, Pixie is a good mix of both breeds. She is more robust than a Frenchie without being quite as big as a staffy. She loves to play, wrestle and rumble with her dog friends and is generally a very social girl who is happy to meet anyone and everyone out and about.
Pixie has been in foster care for a little while now and is learning how to be a 'good canine citizen' she can get a wee bit too excited and sometimes needs reminding to dile down the enthusiasm. She thrives in a home with clear boundaries and structure and when she understands what is expected, she does really well. She is learning about crate training and is now walking like a pro on leash!
MY IDEAL HOME: Pixie is best in a home with humans around more often than not, she can be a bit destructive if left to her own devices for too long, she is a good mix of cuddly potato and energetic adventurer. Her new family are best having a bit of experience with dogs as she can be a bit pushy and cheeky (albeit always hella cute).
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Daily exercise is a must, she is energetic and needs outlets for her busy brain like using a flirt pole or going for a big sniffy walk but she is also great at chilling on the couch, playing role of 'little spoon' very well.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Pixie loves kids but she can be a lot, she often treats them like dogs and can be pushy and cheeky. She is best in a home with teens and up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Pixie loves other dogs but can play rough, she is best in a home with a larger dog that can handle her energy and strength. She has not meant cats and whilst we wouldn't rule out a home with cats, it would likely take a very slow, controlled intro before they would be comfortable with one another.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form.
For Cats: https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870
For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
