About Lucy - 7 Month Old Labrador (Trial)
It won’t be hard to “I Love Lucy”!
Lucy is a 7 month old Labrador who is smart, affectionate and so keen to love. Lucy is a total love bug who loves belly rubs and bum scratches.
A typical energetic Labrador, she is also a total hose clown and LOVES water. Nothing makes her happier than sloshing around in a clam shell or chasing the hose.
Being a young puppy, Lucy LOVES to play - chasing a tennis ball up and down the yard is another favourite hobby. Full to the brim with contagious energy, she is go-go-go! and then down for big naps at your feet.
She is loyal to her humans and protective of them, always ready for a pat but will bark at any passers by she doesn’t deem worthy.
With natural smarts, she sits, drops and stays on command and walks wonderfully on a lead. Food motivated, well say no more! Treats are life!
Lucy needs a family dedicated to providing time, patience and ongoing training, to allow her to continue growing into a great dog. Lucy is very loyal to her people and always wants to be where you are, waiting at the door if she must.
She has had a rough start with other dog siblings, Lucy will thrive as an only dog with someone who can continue her training. She tends to get a bit defensive around other dogs but this is something that can be worked on as she grows up.
We have not tested Lucy with cats or pocket pets.

Lucy's adoption fee is $1000, which includes desexing at 10-12 months old. She is vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Lucy is in care in the Newcastle area, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 10 to 12 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
