About Jeanie
Jeanie is a beautifully trained girl who would be comfortable both on a farm or in the suburban, decent-sized backyard. She is very happy to be around other animals including sheep and cattle. She has a very stable character.
Jeanie is extremely loyal and will suit someone who wants a good, level headed German Shepherd.
Jeanie is: crate trained, loose lead trained, jump onto a ute, great recall, sit, drop, shake, stay, no. Great with horses.
This girl will follow you to the end of the earth and back again (loyal, loyal, loyal).
She loves the water.
Is a very healthy, is good to wash, brush, clip nails, clean ears etc.
Jeanie has completed low level agility.
She has not lived with children but is good around children.
Jeanie has not lived with cats. She is interested in other dogs and will run up to them, so her owner keeps her on lead in open areas where there are other dogs.
This girl will avoid conflict if another dog is harassing her. She can be a little dominant around other female dogs.
Jeanie will do anything you ask her to, sleep by your bed, and is house trained.
Please see medical notes below regarding desexing.
If you live in Queensland or Victoria your application will be considered. However, please bear in mind that meeting Jeanie in person is a must. This is to ensure that Jeanie fits well in your family structure before she makes the transition to her new life. In the case of non-compatibility, it is important that you will be able to either take Jeanie back to Sydney, or assist us in finding a new home from your location.
If you think you can give Jeanie a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Trixie".
Medical notes
Jeanie is, as yet, not desexed, but she will be desexed before going to her new home.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
