Poppy

Hello there, I'm Poppy! I may be a little shy at first, but once I feel comfortable, I'm a sweet and playful kitten looking for my forever home. Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I came from Maitland Pound along with my sister and two other girls. We were all looking for a second chance at happiness, and I'm so grateful to have been given that opportunity. As a tabby kitten, I have beautiful cheetah spots on my belly that make me unique and adorable.

When you first meet me, you might find me snuggled up under low lying furniture, observing the world and everyone in it. I like to take my time to feel secure in my surroundings before fully coming out of my shell. But don't worry, with a little patience and reassurance from my people, I will start to show my true playful nature.

Once I feel comfortable, I absolutely love getting gentle pats and attention. It's the best feeling in the world! I also enjoy spending time with my sister, engaging in rough and tumble play sessions. We have so much fun together! Additionally, I have a fascination with string toys and anything that moves slowly. Chasing and pouncing on them brings out the playful side in me.

I have to admit that loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me, and they make me feel scared. When that happens, I tend to run and hide. However, with the love and support of my forever family, I know I can overcome my fears and become more confident. In slowing getting used to those big noises, and with some help from my new family I’ll be okay.
