About Casper
Meet Casper, a beautiful Siberian Husky who's anything but typical. With his striking appearance and soulful eyes, he's more philosopher than sled dog, more curious observer than performer. Think "cat software running on dog hardware" and you're getting close.
After spending his early years confined to a backyard, Casper is ready to discover the world. Each day brings new experiences as he learns to trust and explore at his own pace.
While shedding and picky eating are on brand, Casper is a minimalist Husky. No jumping. No digging. He rarely barks or vocalises. Instead, he offers peaceful companionship. While he’s not a cuddler, once he trusts you, Casper will approach for chest scratches and belly rubs, and he’ll let you know when he wants more (and when he doesn't). He enjoys his toys, but spends much of his time lounging, pondering the meaning of life, whether it might involve a treat, and possibly judging your life choices.
He knows sit, wait, and shake reliably. "Come" is more of a polite suggestion that he'll consider. He's initially hesitant about harness time but perks up once he realises a walk is happening. He’s easy to walk but can be a little unhappy towards other dogs if they get too close.
Casper is on anxiety medication to help him feel safe and confident. He would do best in a quiet, predictable home with no other pets or small children, and a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore. Most of all, he needs patient people who understand that meaningful relationships are built slowly, and that trust is earned through consistency, kindness, and time.
Casper may not overwhelm you with enthusiasm, but he will reward your patience and guidance. If you enjoy the company of introverts, find joy in vacuuming, and can appreciate the slow, quiet unfolding, Casper could be your perfect match.
