About Bilbo
*In foster care in Wollstonecraft, Sydney*
Meet Bilbo, a sweet six-year-old boy who was found dumped at a local park and is now living his best life in foster care! Well, almost - the only thing he needs is a loving forever home to call his own :)
Living on the streets, Bilbo's deafness added an extra layer of vulnerability to his situation, and resulted in a few battle scars. He's keen to settle into a wonderful home that will keep him safely indoors and pamper him like the king he is!
Lovely Bilbo has quickly blossomed into a confident and affectionate house cat, wanting nothing more than to be in the company of his foster carer - ideally receiving all the smooches and belly rubs she can spare :) He's very outgoing, even with strangers, begging them for pats before they've even made it through the door!
His deafness also makes for the most adorable meow (and he loves a good chat!). Being a stray he didn’t know how to play with toys, but he's since discovered the joy of chasing his plushies around the living room. And when he's feeling extra playful, he loves to chase his own tail and his shadow! His deafness also means he has no fear of the vacuum and often tries to play with it when cleaning!
Like all Maggie's pets, Bilbo is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I adapt quickly to new environments and new people, and would enjoy any loving home where I can receive lots of pats! I'm still learning to be handled by humans (e.g., being picked up or sitting on their laps) and so would need my family to understand this may take a bit more time.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I like to laze around the house most of the time, sleeping pretty much anywhere. (You'll often come home and find me snoozing right there on the floor!) I also enjoy a good play with my foster carer in the evenings :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Excellent! Children who know how to respect my space would be the best playmates ever :) And the park where I used to live had kids who'd give me lots of pats, which was always so nice.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'm a relaxed guy and I did live in a colony for most of my early life, so I'd likely get along well with other cats.
I might even enjoy the company of a friendly dog! - though I haven't met any of those since coming into foster care.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
