About Coco & Skye - 6 & 2 Year Old Shih Tzu X (Trial)
Introducing the Odd Couple! Fully grown tiny treasures.
We will fill your life with love and laughter!
Coco is the biggest snuggle bug. She is a true Velcro dog. No matter where you are she is next to you. Big brown eyes that look at you as if you are the most wonderful person in the world. She will greet you when you come in with a toy or a shoe just to let you know she is happy you’re home. Quiet and calm most of the time. She sleeps snuggled up next to you in the bed. Coco loves everyone and within seconds of meeting you, she will happily attach herself to you for the duration.
Skye is a bundle of fun. Her cheeky face and readiness to play will fill your heart. Skye also loves a snuggle and will follow you around, and will choose to be next to you on the sofa. She sleeps curled at your feet in the bed (she needs lifting on as she is so tiny)! Skye can be a little timid when first introduced so a slow approach with her is best.
This pair would prefer their human to be home most of the time, however, they keep each other company and don’t whine or cry when you leave. Skye is very dependent on Coco. After a trip to the mailbox, they will greet you as if you have been on a world trek. When you are at home, they will not stray more than a few feet from your side. Coco and Skye will also need a secure yard with good fencing as they are so tiny.
Both are desexed and house-trained, Coco can use a doggy door, but Skye is still learning this trick, preferring her human to open the door for her. They will need to be allowed to sleep in the bed. Being small a home with no or few steps would be great.
They are not tested with cats but have come from a home with many children. Their ideal home would have a human for each of them as they compete for attention, part of their co-dependency.
They enjoy walks and walk well on a leash, currently enjoying a 20-minute walk each day and playing indoor fetch when raining. Like most Shih Tzu's they spend most of the day sleeping. Both will sit quietly in the car when travelling. They will require someone committed to regular grooming and clipping, Coco’s coat is more poodle-type, and Skye's golden, and silky soft.
Coco and Skye are currently in the Lisarow area on the Central Coast of NSW, and are not available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $1200, and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. Applications may be considered to adopt them separately given the correct environment.
