Willa is 2 years old and has found herself alone in the pound with no-one to love, she was abandoned at an empty property, with no-one coming forward to claim her. This stunning girl doesn’t just have the looks, but the most endearing, sweet personality to match, could she be your dream girl?
Willa LOVES people, she is super friendly and affectionate with everyone she meets, often bringing her toys over to you whilst leaning in for more bum scratches and pats. Willa really enjoys being around people and will snuggle up into your lap if given the chance. Willa would suit most family dynamics and could possibly live with young children that are dog savvy.
Willa is very clever, she knows her basic commands such as sit, drop, and shake, she likes to show them off especially when a treat is on offer! Willa would love to learn and be taught more commands and tricks; she responds well to a food lure and is also motivated by toys. Willa will have a lot of fun training with her new family, short, frequent sessions at home will keep her clever mind working.
Willa is an active, young German Shepherd, she will require regular physical exercise and also mental stimulation through enrichment and games to ensure she doesn’t get bored and find her own mischief. Willa would love to go on adventures with her new family, she is still working on her leash manners and may enjoy hikes to more secluded areas for now.
Willa is very conflicted with other dogs; she is scared and uses her big bark to tell other dogs to go away and will make a big scene when she gets too close to others in an attempt to let everyone know how scared she is. Willa will need to slowly work on her confidence around other dogs, building up her critical distance overtime and helping her to feel safe and calm when another dog is around.
Willa ideally would be placed into a home that have experience with reactive dogs, Willa is not going to be a quick fix overnight and will require ongoing support, training, and patience from a dedicated owner willing to help her and work at it together long-term. Willa is best suited to being the only pet in her new home, she is looking for a home without any other animals including cats and other small pets.
Willa loves being inside with her humans and is very calm and well behaved indoors, she must be included as part of the family and welcomed indoors, she would love a big snuggly bed of her own or to gain couch and maybe even bed privileges.
This playful, clever, affectionate girl has so much going for her, combine all these beautiful traits with how stunning she is, we can’t work out why he ever ended up in the shelter. Willa is going to make the most loyal, loving companion, she just needs someone to take her home and help her reach her full potential.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
