About Florence
My adoption fee has been reduced as I have been waiting for my forever home for over 60 days!
Allow us to introduce you to the delightful Florence, a lovely feline with a heart as big as her beautiful eyes. Florence is on the lookout for a forever home, and we think she might be just the purr-fect addition to your family.
Florence is seeking a calm and quiet home where she can truly thrive. She is best suited to experienced cat owners who understand the nuanced world of our feline friends. Having lived with cats before, Florence is open to meeting new feline companions and would be happy to share her space with a friendly cat friend.
While we can't guarantee her compatibility with dogs, the decision to introduce her to a canine friend will be left to the discretion of her new, loving owners.
We always encourage a slow & controlled introduction to existing animals in the home.
Florence is open to meeting kids aged 8-10 years and older. Older children tend to understand her need for occasional personal space, as Florence can be a bit shy and timid at times.
Her independent yet agreeable nature makes her a wonderful companion for families looking to welcome a gentle soul into their lives.
Due to her timidity, Florence would thrive as an indoors-only cat. This loving girl has a playful side but is also quite content to lounge around and enjoy the serenity of a secure home.
Florence is a bit of a food connoisseur, showing a preference for beef-flavoured Fussy Cat wet food and dry food. She may be a bit finicky, but who can blame her for having a refined palate?
Florence is an engaging, curious, and friendly girl. While she may initially be a bit shy, she is learning to trust humans after growing up on the streets.
She enjoys gentle pats on her head and chin, showcasing her affectionate side. She may not be a fan of toys (yet), but her endearing quirks and occasional chattiness make her a one-of-a-kind gal.
Florence's past may have been tough, but she is on a journey to discover that there are good people in the world. With your love and care, she may become more comfortable with being picked up over time, showing you just how rewarding it is to earn the trust of a beautiful soul like hers.
If you are ready to open your hearts and homes to a sweet, sensitive, and charming feline, Florence is eagerly waiting to meet you. Come and be part of the story that transforms a timid street cat into a beloved family member!
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
