About Penny
Meet Penny, the charismatic German Shepherd with boundless energy and a heart of gold. At just 1 year and 6 months old, Penny exudes the playful exuberance of youth coupled with the intelligence characteristic of her breed. With her striking coat and attentive amber eyes, Penny is a head-turner wherever she goes.
Penny thrives on activity and interaction, making her an ideal companion for families seeking a fun-loving canine addition. Her high intelligence demands mental stimulation, making training a rewarding endeavor for both Penny and her human counterparts. Whether it's mastering new tricks or engaging in stimulating games, Penny's eagerness to learn knows no bounds.
While Penny is a social butterfly with humans, she prefers to be the sole recipient of attention from her furry friends. Therefore, a household without other dogs or cats would be the ideal environment for her. However, Penny adores children and would eagerly join in their adventures, making her a perfect fit for families with kids.
Despite her youthful exuberance, Penny possesses a gentle disposition, showing unwavering loyalty and affection to those she bonds with. Whether it's accompanying her family on outdoor excursions or simply lounging at home, Penny's presence adds joy and warmth to any household fortunate enough to call her their own. With her playful spirit and unwavering devotion, Penny is not just a pet but a cherished member of the family waiting to bring love and laughter into your home.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
