About Driver
**SURVIVOR READY TO CONQUER YOUR HEART**
This gorgeous, liquid-eyed lad has beaten the odds!
HD2785 Driver was picked up as a stray, floppy and so exhausted he had to be carried to the car. Also happened to be COVERED, head to toe, in ticks and to top it off - he had contracted parvo.
He spent the first few days laying around, looking very unwell and having every last tick pulled off. Even with daily treatment it took almost an entire week to get them all off!
We weren't sure he would make it. You might have seen some of his progress on our socials. He is such a fighter.
He was jokingly named Driver, as the first thing he did when our volunteer got out of the car was move to the driver's seat and make himself comfortable.
It stuck, and he's a true reflection of the driving force that keeps us going, the reason we do what we do.
We save lives. Another hour in the sun and he wouldn't have made it.
But now he's a bright, happy and so very very SWEET young fella, and he's looking for his next heart to park in.
If you need a new Driver in your life to take you places you didn't know you needed to go, message us or email hedland.casemanager@safe.org.au to see if he can steer you in the right direction!
