About Josie - Located in Fawkner
Greetings, dear humans!
I am Josie, the enigmatic feline observer, ready to grace your life with my regal presence. Allow me to share a glimpse into my majestic world.
At first encounter, you may find me to be a bit reserved, perhaps even aloof. But fear not! Beneath my composed exterior lies a heart yearning for connection. With a touch of patience, routine and understanding, I promise to unveil the depths of my affection, enveloping you in a warm embrace like a comforting blanket on a brisk evening.
Now, let's talk about companionship. While I am content in solitude, the company of a gentle, friendly feline companion would be most welcome. Together, we shall navigate the intricacies of human routines and supervise your daily activities—especially those involving food! For what is life without a trusty sidekick to share in its delights?
Ah, tranquility. It is my sanctuary, my solace. A peaceful abode, free from the clamor of young ones, is where I thrive. Loud noises tend to startle me, but with your gentle reassurance, I shall find solace and serenity in our shared space.
And treats! Ah, the epitome of indulgence. A delectable morsel, a creamy delight—these are the keys to unlocking the treasure trove of my affections. But do not underestimate the power of play. A wand adorned with feathers beckons me into a world of whimsy and delight, where I unleash my inner hunter with graceful leaps and mesmerizing swats.
So, if you seek a gentle soul to grace your home with quiet elegance and unwavering devotion, look no further. I am Josie, your steadfast companion, ready to embark on a journey of love and companionship.
With grace and gratitude,
Josie 🐾

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
