On Hold
About James - Meet me at Nelly's Ark in Fairfield
Well, hello there, humans!
James here, reporting for duty as your resident gorgeous sleek tabby with mesmerizing green eyes. Yep, that's me—the feline version of a heartthrob, ready to steal your treats and maybe even your heart if you're lucky.
Now, let's talk games. I'm all about 'em! Pouncing on mouse toys? Oh, you better believe it! Chasing balls around? Absolutely! But hold onto your hats because I've recently discovered these things called shuttlecocks—they've got balls and feathers, and oh my whiskers, they're my new favorite thing! Talk about entertainment gold!
But hey, I've got a confession to make—I'm still learning to hang with the people. So, don't be surprised if I'm a bit shy when I first come to live with you. It's nothing personal, just me trying to figure out this whole human-feline dynamic. But fear not! Once I settle in, your place will become my own personal kingdom. You know what they say, right? "Mi casa es su casa"? Well, if you've got a warm bed, plenty of treats, and are generous with the pats, then it won't just be "mi casa," it'll be "our casa" in no time!
So, if you're ready to welcome a charming tabby with a knack for humor and a love for treats into your home, then look no further. I'm James, and I'm here to bring some laughter and love into your life.
Pawsitively yours,
James 😸

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
