About Maggie - Located in Doreen
Hey, guys! I'm Maggie, your newest little superstar! I might come across as shy and reserved at first, but don't be fooled—I’ve got a little naughty streak that makes me totally spunky and irresistible! Once I get to know you, I crave all the attention and affection you can give me.
I absolutely love being picked up and held like a baby, and let me tell you, if you give me an under-the-chin or face massage, I am just living my best life! My eyes will roll back, and I’ll purr like a tractor before drifting off to sleep. I mean, how cute is that?
When it's playtime, I come alive! I’m hilarious and maybe a little bossy, but that's just part of my charm! I enjoy running off with all the good toys and playfully wrestling my cat friends for them. It's all in good fun!
I would love to go to a home with one of my siblings or a friendly, playful cat. Trust me, we’ll make the perfect pair! So, are you ready for a little slice of adorable, spunky magic in your life? Let's make this happen! Love ya! 💖

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
