About Ivy - Located in Doreen
Oh, hi there! I'm Ivy, the most independent yet utterly fabulous member of this little crew! My life revolves around playtime, and I'm always on the hunt for the next thrilling adventure. But beware! I'm also the cutest little pickpocket you'll ever meet, and if you’ve got paper, tissue, or anything remotely steal-able in your pockets, I’m all over it!
My partners in crime, Maggie and Jinx, are my ride-or-die crew, giving me all the confidence and moral support I need to get up to our shenanigans. They totally get me, you know? Together, we're a trio of fun and mischief!
Now, I admit, I might take a little time to warm up to new people, but can you blame me? I'm usually too busy living my best life! Once you’ve caught my eye, though, get ready for me to demand your attention like the star I am! I adore soaking up your cuddles and pats when I'm ready to chill after a long day of playing.
So, if you’re up for a little adventure and a whole lot of cuteness, you might just be the perfect match for me. Let’s make this happen, okay? Love ya! 💖

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
