About Scoot
Hiiiiii
My name is Scoot, but foster mum (FM) often calls me Scootie Patootie.
I am a small little boy with a lot of love to give to the right home.
I am quite frightened of new people so please be patient when we meet as I may not be as welcoming as you hope.
When it is just you and I, I will warm up to you in no time.
I heard this is pretty normal for my kind (chihuahuas), as we tend to form deep bonds with one particular person… often becoming fiercely loyal companions. This trait makes us incredibly devoted to our chosen human, showering them with affection and unwavering loyalty.
I spend every minute I can snuggling up to FM. I love to sleep under the blankets with her, or nuzzle up in her neck on the pillow. I have even been called a “parrot” at times, because I like to sit on her shoulders.
When FM washes the sheets she expects me to just accept this???? but I don’t. Instead I find my own blanket and crawl underneath her shirt 😁. FM usually wears big enough shirts for me to fit comfortably thankfully. I don’t know what she thinks about this, but sometimes you gotta work with the resources you’re given (call me MacGyver!)
Because I am “fiercely loyal” I would be best in a household without children.
I can share my space with other dogs but I haven’t shown any reason I would benefit from this either.
I “tolerate” to an extent, depending on the other dog.
I don’t seem to like cats very much. I think
I’d prefer to be an only dog or have a very chilled out female doggy sister.
I need some help with toilet training so please keep that in mind. A house with regular and easy access to a backyard or courtyard may assist with this training.
Apartment life probably isn’t for me, plus lots of people coming and going which i won’t enjoy.
I would be best suited to someone who is familiar and experienced with chihuahuas and understands my needs and the love I will give back as a thank you for choosing me.
Hope to meet you soon 🙂
Love scootie patootie.
Medical notes
6 year old Scoot is desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, and up to date with flea, tick, heart worm and intestinal worm prevention.
He has recently had a dental clean and only needed two teeth extracted.
He is otherwise in good health and his patellas seem fine.
