About Guy
Meet Guy, a handsome and very big dude.
This poor fathead tom was surrendered to a vet clinic because his owner was moving overseas and decided not to take him with her. He had not had any vet work in his 18 months of life but together with the help of the vet we quickly had him desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flead and wormed. Despite being clearly sad and confused as a result of being abandoned by the only family he knew, he quickly opened his heart again to adapt to life in his foster home.
Guy is unphased by a variety of people and noises. He will initiate play with other cats but unfortunately his large size means other cats feel threatened and won't participate.
Guy requires someone who will play with him daily so he can use up his ample energy stores. If he is not exercised he will get overstimulated and nippy. Although he is very friendly and only wants to play, he needs an experienced owner who can identify when he is getting overstimulated and continue to teach him boundaries. We believe his lack of cat etiquette is likely the result of being taken from mum and siblings too young.
