About Custard - Located in Pakenham
Hey there, folks! The name's Custard, and just like the dessert, I'm sweet and soft as can be.
I'm one good-looking ginger boy, if I do say so myself. My fur is as vibrant as a summer sunset, and my playful personality matches it perfectly. I've got a thing for romping around with my brothers, chasing after toys like there's no tomorrow.
Now, when it comes to people, I'll admit I'm still in the learning phase. I might approach you with caution at first, but once I realize you're the kind of human who dishes out the good pats and cheek scritches, well, consider me won over! Seriously, nothing melts my heart faster than some quality chin scratches.
Oh, and speaking of things I love, let's talk about balls. No, not the fancy kind you wear to a party—the ones you toss for me to chase! Throw one of those my way, and I'll be your best friend in no time. It's the quickest way into this ginger boy's heart, trust me.
And let's not forget about my purr. Seriously, it's like a motor that never quits. I'll purr when I'm playing, when I'm being carried around like a king, heck, I might even purr when I'm chowing down on my kibble. What can I say? I'm just a happy-go-lucky guy!
Now, as much as I adore my brothers, I'd be totally cool with being the star of the show as a Single Ginger Boy (SGB), as long as there are plenty of toys to keep me entertained and cheek scritches to keep me purring. But hey, if you've got another friendly cat around, even better! The more, the merrier, am I right?
So, what do you say? Ready to welcome a playful, purring bundle of ginger joy into your home? I promise, with me around, there will never be a dull moment!

Medical notes
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
