About Bonnie
Hi My name is Bonnie (and I have a brother in care named Clyde), and I am a Mini Dachshund x Pomchi (yep that's a Pomeranian x Chihuahua) and I am 5 months and 2 week old!
We came into care from a breeder for her personal reasons
My foster mum says I have to write a bio telling you about me (Clyde said i have to help him write his so our bios will probably sound similar) ……… well okay here goes……….
My foster mum thinks I’m such a good girl, but uses words like very cute, adventurous, loves to play with toys, big personality and always smiling awwwww thanks foster mum that makes me sound like a happy go lucky dog!
I weigh 4.2kgs
I currently have some human teenagers that I hang out with and I love it!
I do love a car ride and learning to walk well on my leash - we all go out for walks and it's so much fun cause everything is fun.
My foster family leave me home alone 3 days a week while they go out into the big world something about needing to earn the money for things. I am fine with them leaving but that's cause I have other dogs to play with and snuggle with.
So if I have to put my order in for what I am looking for in a home you betcha it’s with another fun dog who will happily play with me, I'm okay for periods home alone but wouldn't be a huge fan of everyone gone 8+ hours a day so even if there is shift workers or part time, works from home, can take me to work with them – I would be a awesome assistant.
I am learning some basic commands, but it's constant reinforcement as my brother and I distract each other! My foster mum is very patient and the treats she gives me are just delicious!
I am getting used to going outside to the bathroom, but sometimes I do forget and can have a little accident.
I currently live with a cat and there is no problems
I am happy to have access to both inside and outside at my leisure and do like to keep an eye on what is going on in my home.
I have a coat that may require some grooming so please remember that is a life time commitment for me.
Oh yeah need to chat about sleeping arrangements - just so you know, your bed is now my bed too.
I am a very cuddly little girl and love nothing more than sitting on the lap of those I love.

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
