Toby

Toby is a sweet old man who is very people-orientated. If you are looking for a dog who will love you unconditionally and wants nothing more than to be by your side, Toby is the guy for you! Where ever you go, he will follow.

Toby's favourite activities include sleeping and cuddling his person. He also loves to play ball and got for a walk, though this should be somewhat limited due to his arthritis. That being said, Toby is relatively spritely for a boy his age and keeps up well on a walk.

Toby is fantastic to walk on a loose lead, and is good in the car unless there is a motorbike, truck or a dog that he can see, which can cause him to bark. He is a pleasure to have around and makes for a wonderful companion, whether you’re going on a leisurely walk or pottering around the garden. As he is quite hard of hearing, recall can be an issue so we’d recommend keeping him on a long lead when out so he can’t inadvertently wander off!

Toby gets along well with other dogs but isn’t overly interested in interacting or playing, understandable given his age. He has not been tested with cats or chooks.

Toby can get stressed when left alone for long periods, so would like a human who can be with him most of the time.
