About Freddy rstk010195
Meet Freddy, an absolute sweetheart who navigates the world with a tender charm. Freddy may take a little time to adjust, but once he feels comfortable, his playful and friendly nature shines through. He's one of those gems who become more lovable every day, making his addition to your household a treasure.
During his first few days in a new environment, Freddy may be a bit hesitant, but given a little time, he warms up and his true persona emerges – a playful and affectionate companion. He may be slightly reserved initially, but his curiosity will eventually get the best of him. Once he's comfortable, he loves to engage in playful chase with his favorite feather wand.
Although Freddy loves attention, he will gently let you know when he's had enough. The only time he may give a little nip is to signal that he's all set with the cuddles for the moment. Freddy is an independent boy who prefers to keep all four paws on the ground.
Freddy is distinct in his fondness for other felines. A home with another friendly feline would be delightful for him.
From his Foster Home
Freddy is the sweetest boy you will ever meet! He settled in and became friendly with us very quickly. He is a bigger cat and is full of love to give and receive. He loves pets and will headbutt your hand for them, roll over and just be the sweetest ever! You may also find him being a silly boy hiding under and in silly places.
He shows a lot of interest in other cats and wants to be friends with them. We think he will do fine in a house with cats or without as he just wants some loving!
If you would like more information about Freddy or wish to meet him please contact our Foster Care Co-Ordinator’s -Email foster@catprotection.com.au or Phone 0400 444 734.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
