Zarani is a beautiful gentle girl. Well mannered and very mature for her age. Loves to cuddle up next to you - nuzzling you with her soft kisses!
She can be nervous at first (especially towards men), but once she gets to know you, she will be your shadow, your snuggle bug, your best friend.
She can be left home alone, although would rather be with you!
Travels well in the car - just curls up on back seat and you don't hear from her for hours until she reluctantly gets out.
She can sleep the day away, but LOVES walks and runs. She can run 10 kms easily - if that's your thing.
More than anything, she loves her toys, soft toys, chewy toys, balls and sticks. She will want you to play with her- or if she has the space, can run aound doing zoomies on her own.
Just have to let her know which are the toys she can chew!
Perfectly toilet trained, sleeps through the night, and can literally hold on for hours if needed.
Sits on command and before she is fed.
Can be very strong on lead, which we are working on. Now has learnt to walk well on a halti. She also can get spooked by strangers, some other dogs or strange loud sounds. She has improved out of sight since living with her foster family. She doesn't really like crowds or noisy shops. Not a great café dog at this stage. She will also take a while to warm to strangers/visitors to your home - especially males. Reassurance is needed from her human family, so she can overcome this.
She will bark at a knock at the door, or a stranger walking into house - a great protector of her family! But no excessive barking.
Most undesirable behaviours only require a stern "No" and she looks mortified. She's a smart girl.
Loves swimming and jumping in puddles, she can be very playful and is hilarious and endearing.
Very short, easy care coat with minimal shedding.
Great with kids of all ages - could get mouthy if the game goes that way, but no biting or aggression ever showed with people.
Gets along with other dogs, but mostly not that interested, unless known to her, Seems to get along better with male (dogs) than females. Again, may take a little while to warm to strange dogs- but then absolutely loves them. She bonded with her foster fur brother , and they literally played for hours together and were inseparable. She's a darling!
