About Ace
We are sure many of you have been waiting for this update.
Ace – Bull Terrier Mix – approx. 18 months old.
Little Ace, previously known as #191 or White Boy broke everyone's heart when he came off transport, clinging desperately to the drivers legs terrified of being left again.
Ace was a last-minute save from Deathrow.
He had been left tied to the pound gates in the searing heat, he was underweight, frightened, and totally broken.
The rangers did such a great job helping him as much as they could but rescue was very much needed for him.
Ace has proved to be a truly affectionate and gentle dog who craves love and companionship.
He has a loving nature and a sweet and gentle personality – he is a really special boy.
Super affectionate, he adores pats and cuddles.
He isn't one for destruction but enjoys some harmless fun by digging, and creating little cool spots for himself to lie in.
Ace has done well with his house training, but like any dog, could use some ongoing training, more for manners than anything else.
He can sometimes be a bit jumpy due to his enthusiasm but isn’t heavy or overbearing with this and he is learning what down and no means
A natural protector, he will bark at strange noises but it's never excessive.
He's also been discovering what toys are and what joy they can bring to his day - it's a delight to see him learn and grow!
Ace is generally dog-friendly, though he can get a bit silly and over-excited at times.
His favourite place is close by your side, being your loyal shadow.
He forms strong bonds quickly and has shown great loyalty to his human friends, always looking to be nearby.
Our sweet boy Ace isn't much of a fan when bath time rolls around, but with gentle encouragement, we get by.
The same can be said for car rides - Ace currently isn't too keen on them, but we believe over time, with positive experiences, this can be improved.
Finding a home with a secure fence is a must for Ace, majorly for his own safety since he loves roaming in the backyard given his inherent curiosity.
He's mastered the ability to make friends in any social situation, making him a great companion to bring along on your outings.
If a gentle, social, and loyal canine friend who would love to be your forever shadow is what you're looking for, you may have just found your match in Ace.
He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
Ace is in foster care at Morayfield and his adoption fee is $595
If you feel you could be the Ying to Aces Yang, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the amazing life you could share.
