Posca is a spritely, older gentleman looking for a loving retirement home to rest his paws in 🐾

Posca may be 16 years old but don’t let that fool you into thinking he’s lazy. He loves to play and can still jump up onto things if he is determined to get there. He is keen to explore his foster home and his favourite game is to hide in one side of the wardrobe, meow and scratch at the closed door until his foster mum who then opens it and lets him out.

Posca is looking for a home without dogs but he doesn’t mind the company of the cats in his foster home so he will be happy to consider a new home with another mature soul to keep him company. Although, he would be just as happy in a home where he can be the main focus of love and attention. He is the first to jump up and snuggle on the couch and will happily keep you company while you watch tv or pretend to do your work on your laptop. If you’re up and about then chances are that Posca is too! He is happy to follow you and chirp and chat away while you make dinner or clean the house.

At 16, Posca has some ongoing medical needs:

His right eye has a healed ulcer with corneal scarring which is being treated with twice daily drops. This won’t require surgery but the drops need to continue at least until his next checkup in mid March (his eye specialist is located in Malvern East) where he will be reassessed.

He has high blood pressure and while it may never be ‘normal’ it is currently being treated effectively with a tablet administered once daily.

While in care with us Posca has had a dental to get his teeth shiny and sparkling. As with all senior cats he will need twice yearly checkups to ensure he stays in tip top health!
