About Pepper
Pepper may have had a rough start to life, the loss of 1 eye, bad knees, head tilt, kinky tail and no ability vocalise (other than the cutest little sleep squeaks you've ever heard). This However, does not stop her seeing and going after what she wants - which is hugs, and food.
She may take a couple of days to warm up to new people, but once she does, she loves her humans fiercely. Pepper loves routine and stability (mostly surrounding when she gets hugs and when she gets food). She loves having her people around. She tends to prefer adults over children - but will tolerate the younger members of the house if they respect her space. She tolerates other cats, but definitely prefers being Princess Pepper, the ruler of the human house.
She Is playful and inquisitive, but due to her physical limitations doesn't climb up high surfaces - so she won't bother you up on the bench or other high places. She's even a cat you can safely keep a Christmas tree around, without it being climbed or completely destroyed.
Loves: Hugs, Dine Creamy Treats, Food, Turning on Robo-Vacuums, nerf bullets, little rubber balls, sunshine, sniffing outdoor air from the window, collecting little treasures, stealing food off your plate
Dislikes: not getting hugs when she wants them, people that she hasn't yet approved approaching her
I have been taking lots of videos of her, and will be more than happy to do some zoom calls with prospective adopters so they can see what she's like when she's comfortable around people (ie, cute and cuddly and gorgeous)
Medical notes:
Pepper has had one eye removed and does not have good vision in her remaining eye. She has a slight head tilt and a slight kink in her tail that don't cause her any discomfort nor do they need vet attention.
Pepper does have grade 3 luxating patellas, which means that her kneecaps can pop out sometimes. She will need surgery in the future, after her growth plates have closed (maybe another 4 months). This cost can be covered at our Forever Friends Animal Sanctuary in Gladysdale, VIC.
