About Fonzie
Fonzie is a sweet young boy, his foster Dad is smitten with his boy’s loving big brown eyes. He is a very smoochy boy that can’t hide his excitement with all the good things in his new life. He is very tactile with his humans, nestling in for a full hug and sharing lots of kisses.
Fonzie was lucky enough to never have to raced and thankfully has found a very loving foster home to help him learn to be a cherished family member. Fonzie gets along very well with a greyhound sibbling but is also happy being an only dog. Fotunately his foster Dad works from home. They keep each other company during the day while the human works and Fonzie naps. On occassion Fonzie has been lucky enough to go to work in the office where he can enjoy all the human attention as they give him lots of cuddles and positive performance reviews. Fonzie is happy to settle on his bed, watching them do all the work. He could be in management. Fonzie is currenly living in a high rise apartment in the city so is an expert at stairs and elevators. He enjoys all the action of city streets.
Fonzie loves his walks. He walks well on lead and will be happy with two 30 minute walks each day. If he has a yard he will be happy to zoom around but will also be happy in an apartment provided he gets his walks. Fonzie is relaxed with most of the busy street noises and activity on his walks. He may take some time to adjust to very busy areas but is happy as long as there are humans to meet. Like most greys, Fonzie loves a road trip. He thinks car trips are and excellent adventure. Fonzie is a joyous loving boy, ready to brighten up his forever loving home.
No cats or small dogs
No children under six
No full time workers unless working from home so the dog is not home alone for more than 4 hours on a regular basis. Happy consider full time workers if there is another dog.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
