About Lagertha
Meet Lagertha, the fearless feline warrior at a mere three months old, named after the legendary Viking shieldmaiden. Possessing the spirit of a true Norse explorer, Lagertha's striking tabby fur mirrors the rugged landscapes of her Viking ancestors.
Initially timid, Lagertha transforms into a courageous adventurer, ready to conquer household fjords and embark on daring escapades. With sea-blue eyes surveying her surroundings, she channels the indomitable spirit of a Viking warrior preparing for battle.
Lagertha not only seeks solo conquests but also enjoys the camaraderie of fellow feline warriors. Her valiant heart beats in sync with the paws of other cats, creating a dynamic fellowship as they explore their shared domain.
Whether stalking imaginary prey or scaling the scratching post's towering peaks, Lagertha tackles each endeavor with the resilience of a seasoned explorer. Her tiny, nimble paws carry the weight of a valiant heart, leaving paw prints in the hearts of those fortunate enough to witness her conquests.
Lagertha's journey is just beginning, and as she grows, so too will her legendary tales of kittenhood. A warrior in the making, she stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit within even the smallest of creatures. Brace yourselves, for Lagertha the kitten is here to leave an enduring mark on the saga of feline lore!
To book a meet and greet with Lagertha please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
