About Oreo rsuk004376
Meet Oreo, a handsome guy who values peace and tranquility above all. With his dazzling features and captivating charm, he's a quiet presence that would make any day better. Oreo has a strong sense of independence, which is one of his most endearing qualities, making him the ideal companion for someone who admires a cat's aloof grace.
While he enjoys his own space, Oreo possesses a deep fondness for his human family. He may not be the type to curl up on your lap, but he loves sitting nearby, always ready for a playful game or simply a quiet moment together. You'll find his company comforting and his quiet presence soothing.
Don’t mistake his independence for aloofness though, Oreo can be quite the charmer when he wants attention. He's not afraid to come over and give you a little nudge with his head or brush against your leg when he's in the mood for some love.
Just like us, Oreo takes a little while to warm up to new people. But give him some time, and his affectionate side will shine through. He's not one for grand gestures but in his quiet, subtle ways, he'll show you just how much he loves your company.
The perfect environment for Oreo is an easy-going, calm home where he can watch the world go by at his own pace. He would make a wonderful addition to a home that can offer him the love, understanding, and patience he needs to truly flourish.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
