About Bentleigh
Meet Bentleigh!
Woof, hello there! My name is Bentleigh, and I'm a charming 7-year-old pup on the lookout for my perfect match!
I may come off a bit shy at first, but once you get to know me, I promise my tail won't stop wagging!
I'm all about building meaningful connections with someone special. Whether it's going for leisurely walks in the park or cuddling up on the couch for some quality Netflix time, I'm your guy!
I'm a lover, not a fighter, so you won't catch me causing any trouble. In fact, I'm happiest when surrounded by peace and tranquility. That's why I'm hoping to find a loving home where I can relax and be myself.
While I enjoy the company of other calm and laid-back dogs, I'm not one for rowdy playdates. A canine companion who shares my chill vibe would be paws-itively perfect!
When it comes to my ideal family, I think older teenage kids or even a child-free household would suit me best. I'm looking for someone who understands my gentle nature and is willing to give me the time and space I need to blossom.
So, if you're searching for a loyal and affectionate companion to join you on life's adventures, look no further! Swipe right on Bentleigh, and let's create paw-some memories together!
To book a meet and greet with Bentleigh please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
