On Hold
About Charlie - Located in Preston
Hey there, fabulous humans!
Charlie here, and let me tell you, smooching is my game and love is my aim. I may be a big boy with chipmunk cheeks, but don't let that intimidate you—I've got the biggest heart (and cheeks) around, and confidence? Oh, I've got it in spades!
When we meet, you better believe I'll be striding up to you like I own the place, demanding kisses and pats like the charming fellow I am. And if you don't comply fast enough? Well, let's just say I'll take matters into my own hands (or should I say paws?) by climbing onto your shoulders and giving you some gentle reminders.
But hey, don't let my size fool you. At my core, I'm just a big smush who's craving some cuddles on the couch with my new BFF. There's nothing I love more than snuggling up close and feeling the warmth of your love radiate through me.
Now, let's talk playtime. Oh boy, when the mood strikes, I'm all about chasing wand toys, feathers, and yes—even trying to catch that elusive red dot. And a quick zoom down the hall or through the kitchen? Well, count me in, especially if there's food on offer! After all, a big boy like me needs to keep his energy up for all those snuggles and smooches.
So, what are you waiting for? If you're looking for a warm and fuzzy companion to brighten your days and fill your heart with love, then look no further. I'm Charlie, and I'm ready to be your new best friend. Let's make some memories together, shall we?
With purrs and cheeky charm,
Charlie 🐾

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
