Spice-y up your life!
- Sweet, energetic, and curious, young Spicey is a delight!
- Sporting a gorgeous tuxedo of sleek fur, 2 year old Spicey loves to dash around, investigate everything and everyone, pausing for cuddles, purrs, and a bit of downtime when she needs to recharge.
- Spicey started out very timidly with her carers and their two adult cats and spent plenty of time in hiding under the bed, dashing out only when food was offered. Over time she has become very confident, has learned how to get on with the other cats, and is very friendly with her carers and their visitors. Spicey has learned to respond to her carers clicking their fingers to signal it’s safe to come over for a feed or some cuddles.
- Spicey is not a fussy eater and will gobble her share and any other pets’ food in the vicinity.
- She is litter trained and enjoys getting out into the catio (although has yet to work out the cat flap!)
- Spicey loves scratching on the cat tree and climbing up to the top. She’s not that fussed about playing with toys, preferring to play with the other cats.
- She loves attention, but is equally content in her own company. She’s not a lap cat, but is becoming more and more affectionate over time and loves jumps up onto her carers’ bed for cuddles.
- Spicey has not been tested with dogs or children.
- With her high energy and speed, Spicey is a lot of laughs and great fun to have around - but she will likely be best suited to a household where any children are a little older.
- She races to be the first to the food bowl at mealtime, so can sometimes gets underfoot. This would likely diminish if she is the only pet in her adoptive home.
- Once you show Spicey she is safe in her new environment, she will grow to be a playful, affectionate, independent and charming friend.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
The adoption fee includes desexing, vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
