About Fish
If you are interested in Fish, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/3bTG6XWQv49RPxJV6
Meet Fish: a canine companion with a lovable old soul, paired with a lively streak for life's whimsical moments! Fish masterfully balances serene maturity with an innate charm and playfulness. This gentle soul is perfectly content with a quiet life yet appreciates moments of joy - like zooming around the backyard or playing with his beloved toy collection.
Well-behaved and appreciative of some solitary time, Fish will feel right at home in an apartment or house, with a backyard being an added treat. He shows exceptional grace in his interactions with other dogs out and about but would prefer to enjoy the simple pleasures of being the only pet. Given some soothing background noise, like a radio, Fish is at ease even when left alone for a 5-6 hours.
Fish's gentle persona and fun play style will resonate with older teenagers. While he occasionally indulges in playful biting, barking, and growling, he always remains friendly and non-aggressive. With a firm grasp of leash etiquette, he's always ready for a joyful trot around the neighborhood. His fascination for car rides and the city’s sounds blends well with his ability to sleep steadily through the night, making Fish a great addition to any family schedule.
His past experiences have given Fish a touch of vulnerability, drawing out his need for a patient and understanding person, willing to acquaint him with his new surroundings gently. The bond that grows from this will be one of sincere affection, gratitude, and loyalty. Fish's culinary preferences might lean towards the selective end of the spectrum, and he may sometimes need a reassuring cuddle to assuage a surprising sobbing spell. Notwithstanding these slight hiccups, Fish promises to light up your routine with bouts of delightful companionship.
His unique way of expressing affection is truly heartwarming; he'd rather lean or rub against you than jump up-and-down, while showering you with affectionate kisses. Fish might lack a tail and a toe, but in no way does it dampen his spirits.
Fish embodies the essence of a couch potato, looking forward to winding down with his furever human(s).
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
