About Tipsy
Allow us to introduce you to Tipsy! This wonderful lady solicits your attention and heart right from the first wag of her tail. Tipsy is a friendly and affectionate canine, albeit a bit reserved until she gets to know you. Once she feels comfortable, however, she quickly bonds and becomes an enormously loyal companion, perfect for someone who can offer lots of individual attention and care.
Tipsy is ideally suited for a calm, adult-only household, preferably with someone who spends most of their time at home. She's a perfect fit for those who love canine companionship, and she would be an especially great match for an older person seeking a loyal friend. She loves being close to people, often frets when alone, and enjoys the comfort of sitting on your lap for extended periods. The overtures of affection she offers, including climbing onto your lap and head bumping for more pats, will surely melt your heart.
Tipsy does enjoy her strolls, walking admirably well on the lead— much more active than the average senior dog. She is not reactive when walking past other dogs but prefers not to interact with them. Tipsy would do best as an only dog in her future home.
Being skilled at reading body language would be beneficial as Tipsy can sometimes display submissive behavior, like rolling over to expose her belly or averting her eyes. It's her way of navigating situations she might find overwhelming. All she needs is time, gentle reassurance, and plenty of good food (which she loves) to bring out her best self.
Tipsy needs a calm and quiet home where her people are around most of the time. She may have a touch of separation anxiety, so she would become your shadow - your constant, loyal friend. Toilet-trained and potentially crate-friendly (since she prefers safe spaces), she's ready to integrate into her new home.
While Tipsy isn't the playful sort at the shelter, she absolutely loves her food and can be motivated through tasty treats. Take note though that she will show territorial aggression within her space, so it's important to give her the security she needs, and in return, she'll be loyal to a fault. With her modest exercise needs and affectionate nature, Tipsy is a low-maintenance dream for the right home. Her ideal lifestyle fills her days with plenty of cuddles and walks, leaving her nights free to relax by your side.
To meet Tipsy is to fall for her, so please don't wait; book your meet and greet with the larger-than-life Tipsy today!
