About Sprocket
Meet Sprocket, a gentle giant with a heart of gold. This super sweet dog is an absolute people-charmer and thrives on human company and affection. Sprocket has a confident demeanor that wins everyone over, but he equally appreciates downtime for snuggles and tranquility.
This lovable canine will happily swish his tail to let you know how glad he is to see you. Don't let his large frame fool you; Sprocket is incredibly gentle and softly approachable. Rather than jumping on you, he prefers to subtly lean on you for attention and showers of affection, making him a noteworthy cuddle buddy.
Sprocket is perfectly suited to a moderately active lifestyle with plenty of love and companionship. Since he would prefer not to spend much time alone, Sprocket would be happiest in a home where someone is present for the majority of the time.
When it comes to sharing his space with younger human companions, Sprocket is accommodating and careful around children. We recommend a home with kids aged 5 and above who are either comfortable with or had previous experience with large breed dogs—allowing them to get the most of his gentle and endearing nature.
Capable of being rehomed as a single dog, or alongside another dog (preferably a female with similar energy and confidence levels), Sprocket would benefit from a home committed to his socialization. He's generally calm and sociable with other dogs but not overly playful, making him a comforting and reassuring presence. Therefore, a bustling dog park may not be Sprocket's preferred scene.
Please note, while Sprocket is not toilet trained at the shelter, he has been quick to pick up other cues and is highly food motivated, which could aid in his training. Plus, despite his size, he walks wonderfully on a leash, making strolls an absolute pleasure.
With Sprocket, you'll find a generous dose of love, loyalty, and a faithful companion eager to share his life with a caring family.
