About Lotus - 11 Week Old Kelpie X (Trial)
Lotus is an 11 week old, female, Kelpie X puppy.
Lotus is a super cute and smart pup with gorgeous black coat. She loves showing you how clever she is by sitting any chance she gets. She is very food driven and will prove great to further train with this. She’ll eagerly roll over for a belly rub given the opportunity and play with a squeaky toy or rope toy for ages.
Lotus is very clever and has worked out that sitting patiently will earn her pats and treats, no doubt will continue to excel with her further training.
Her toilet training is going well and will promptly do a number 1 & 2 as soon as she goes outside.
Lotus enjoys a tumble with her brothers and cuddling up for naps and will often seek them out for a wrestle session. She may be suited to being an only dog if someone is home often and she is given enough physical and mental exercise. She’ll also need continued socialising with other dogs once she is fully vaccinated.
She is tested with cats and so far, shows no signs of aggression or wanting to chase, just curiosity and wanting to play.
Lotus is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. She has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. She's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Lotus will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Lotus. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Lotus needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Lotus's siblings are Martin and William are also available for adoption.
Lotus's adoption fee is $700 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Lotus is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 5 to 6 months old.
