About Mocha
Hi my name’s Mocha and I would love to be your new companion. I’m an absolute bundle of energy, and to say I love water would be putting it lightly. I love meeting all new people, and I’m not shy at all.
I am a 11 month old Pomeranian x German Spitz x Papillion
I came into care due to a relationship breakdown and I'm looking for my furever home with some fun and lots of love.
I’m currently in care with two other dogs, however I can get a bit too excitable when playing so would need to be in a household with another dog that is happy with my energy level - we would be able to have so much playing and running around together. If was to go to a home with no other dog I would defintely need my human to spend time with me helping me burn off some of my energy and play with me.
I'm not used to sharing food with other dogs so do need to be supervised or fed in a different area.
I’ve been around children, but due to my excitement I would be better in a household with children probably over the age of 8 that can also work with me being told no if I get to excited and nippy - it also is my age I'm just so excited to do things. We have been working on this so someone who is happy to continue that would be great!
I’m pretty well toilet trained for the most part, other than a couple of little accidents here and there
I have a bit of separation anxiety, and don’t like to be left alone for long days, however my foster Mum has been working on positive reinforcement when she leaves me alone. I like to be left with something to keep me distracted like a treat toy, but would also love someone that is going to be home more than not as I can start to bark and unsettle if left alone too long. I’ll be your little shadow, so wherever you go I will follow.
I’m a water baby and any bit of water (including my water bowl) I can’t help but get my paws and body into. When I have my water play fix I tend to calm down with diving into and paddling in my water bowl.
I would love a family that is going to be able to use my energy in their everyday lives - be walking, hiking, running around, doggy day care, marathons et etc you get it I love to be active like you!
I am cat friendly - I met a big ragdoll cat when I came into care and he was a bit bigger then me so I was sure to be mindful of my manners.
I also walk well on a lead so that is a great help for our fun and activities
I have basic training and am very good at sitting when I’m told. When I feel like it I can throw in the odd handshake, and my foster Mum is trying to teach me to lay down. With the time and patience I’ll pick up training pretty fast, and am very food motivated.
When it’s time for bed I’m the chillest little dude. All I want is a spot on the end of your bed and I’ll curl up for cuddles and go to sleep.
If you think I sound like your sort of furbaby - please advise

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
