About Peanut
Meet PEANUT!
Peanut is approx 30kgs, 3 years 11 months Male Tan Staffy x (possibly French Mastiff)
Peanut is a gorgeous boy, who is so calm and chill - almost has the Mastiff characterics to laze about.
PERSONALITY:
Peanut is a beautiful, calm boy who loves to cuddle. He is very chill inside the house, likes to sleep and laze about. He hasn't shown much interest in playing with toys or balls, perhaps another canine companion can teach him how to, having said that, not all dogs need to play with toys. Peanut is toilet and house trained
Peanut is quite shy and timid when it comes to 'some' Males. He's not afraid of all men, some of them he absolutley loves, but it seems those that look intimidating could trigger Peanut to retreat and hide :'-(
He will need a family willing to help Peanut build on some skills to help him gain confidence being around most men
PEANUT'S BACKGROUND:
Peanut did not have the best start to life and might take a little while to warm up to you, but once he does you will have a friend for life!
Peanut used to be a Street dog before ending up in the Rural Pound because of this he is not phased by other dogs or cats. He is very friendly
DOGS:
Peanut is great around other dogs. He does not bark at other dogs. He is very calm and can be playful but can shy away from over the top play, or will cower away when he feels threatened by another dog.
If you are looking to expand your family, another mature calm canine companion would also be good for Peanut to have a play mate and the company when you're not home
CATS:
Peanut is fine around cats - he doesn't show any interest in them
KIDS/Baby:
Peanut is Ok around children, although he hasn't spent alot of time around kids. He shows no interest in the newborn baby
WALKS:
Peanut loves his walks and is pretty good walking, but can tend to pull a little if you let him :) mainly from excitement first out the door... he does settle after 5-10 mins. He does wear a head halti but It shouldn't take long for Peanut to re-learn to walk on loose leash without the halti :)
DIET:
Peanut will eat anything. He is currently on a Fresh Human Grade meat & Premium Dry Food Diet
TRAINING TREATS:
Not food motivated if using normal low value treats, but high value rewards for training, like Prime100 cubes or nice tasty treats will work a treat :)
IDEAL FAMILY:
PEANUT deserves a family who will be home more often than not, have the time to spend with him and include him as part of their family. He would love to go on adventures and camping trips with you. He is great in the car too... He will make a loyal and faithful companion.
