About Oscar
*** PLEASE NOTE THAT OSCAR IS IN FOSTER CARE, ALL APPLICATIONS MUST GO THROUGH PET RESCUE ***
Oscar is looking for the retirement home of his dreams, one where he can spend his days cuddled up on the couch inside, and following his humans around for treats and pats.
Lucky for him, he is currently spending his time in foster care, where his devoted carer is searching for his permanent family!
Here is what his foster mum has to say about him:
Oscar loves attention, cuddles and belly rubs. He even sleeps with his belly up just in case you want to give him a pat!
He is still energetic for his age, but can calm down as soon as you stop hyping him. He loves toys and will carry them around.
He has tricks to try to get more pats when you stop, he worms onto your lap, he rubs his head against your hand or he rolls around on his back looking cute.
He walks great on a lead, can sit, stay, come and shake. He is very good at reading other dogs, if they have no interest in him he leaves them alone. If they want his attention he's happy for a sniff and play and he's very gentle. He would do well in a home with another dog, but no kids (teenagers are fine) as he can get mouthy but he doesn't bite - just staff play nibbles!
He barks at the vacuum but not when he is left home alone. He enjoys seeking out the coldest spots (under aircon, on tiles, in water). He loves all people he meets and adapts well to new environments.
Oscar would be okay to go home with secondary school-aged children or older and may potentially be suited to live with another like-minded and calm dog friend, pending a successful meet!
Oscar is so patiently waiting for his perfect forever home, he is saving up his best cuddles and kisses to show his new family!
