Hi there- I'm known as bouncy boy Joey!

I am a young Kelpie awaiting my big break in the world, I dream of living a lifestyle where I can run around until my heart's content- I have mounds of energy and I love to sniff and explore! If I wasn't called Joey then I would be Sherlock Holmes, my mix of intelligence and curiosity is pretty show-stopping!

Although I am grateful for the staff at LDH taking care of me, I absolutely can't wait to have a family of my own- preferably with Adults Only as I take a little bit to warm up to my surroundings and need to be around people that understand when to give me my own space.

Once I know you I am loyal to the end and enjoy affection and pats, I know we can get there with a little bit of patience and love.

Being off to a bit of a rough start in life I would need to be the only fur baby at home. I have shown interest in other canine pals in the shelter but I have also shown signs of frustration so my new adopter/s will need to help me manage this by taking intros very slowly.
