About Annika
Annika's new home must match the following requirements
- A young energetic household
- The opportunities to have cuddle and naps on laps.
- Another Playful Small Male Desexed Dog (not senior or puppy) living with her.
- A yard big enough to run, chase, play and explore.
- Be given time to feel comfortable around new people.
- An inside/outside lifestyle. To have access to inside when people are home as she loves to be with you and to sleep inside overnight, hopefully on someone’s bed.
Annika is a love bug and loves cuddles and to sit on your knee, But given her breed, she has lots of energy to burn. She likes to be busy and to run around, chasing and playing with other small dogs and with squeaky toys, she hasn’t mastered the game of fetch yet, not for a lack of trying from her carer.
Annika can be a little nervous around new people especially men but is quick to warm up to best friend status quickly. She has meet children as young as 10 and was great around them, she may give them a little lick and a kiss but doesn’t nip.
Annika travels well in the car and loves to go on outings, she loves going for walks and walks ok on the lead but would benefit from some training around this.
Annika can take time when learning new things but will pick it up with patornce and clear, consistent training. She is mostly toilet trained but will need regular access outside to insure she accident free.
Annika loves to be where you are and is quiet a shadow, she will rest and nap next to you, or on you preferably after she is done playing and exploring. At night it is her preference to sleep on your bed with you.
Annika loves to play with other dogs her size but she can be a bit full on for some, and she can have trouble knowing when they have had enough of her for the time being.
The breed is to the best of our knowledge from the information we've been given
Not tested with cats or other small animals.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
