About Katie
Introducing Katie. She'll need to be started in a small launch room and allowed time to settle before allowing to explore the rest of the house. Katie can become easily overwhelmed in large open spaces. Some ideas for helping me settle and enjoy my transition to your home could include Scratch posts/Cat trees, hides (like cardboard boxes and cat igloos), access to shelves/ dressers to provide ample safe spaces, both high and low, all around the house. We recommend a patient and understanding adopter who can recognize that Katie will be timid going into a new environment and may take a little while to settle in before she shows her true self! We recommend no small children in the home as they may not read/understand basic cat body language and know to give Katie space. She's lived with other cats in her previous home so she'd probably benefit from a cat buddy. Katie hasn't had experience with dogs but a calm social dog in your home may work but you'll need to monitor their interactions.
