About Burt - 6 Month Old Cavalier (Trial)
Meet Burt: Your future bundle of joy!
Burt is a delightful, wiggly little Cavalier, brimming with energy and affection. His social and friendly nature has made him a perfect companion for our two small dogs, and he’s eagerly waiting to share his love with a forever family. Burt is a heart-melter - he loves cuddles and has a cute habit of sitting (or even sleeping) right on your lap!
What makes Burt special:
• Personality: Burt is the epitome of joy and sociability, always ready to make new friends.
• Lifestyle: He is thriving on a fresh diet, which we recommend continuing to keep him healthy and happy.
• Training: As a young pup, Burt is learning fast! He’s improving his toilet training, can sit on command, but will need your help to perfect his recall and leash walking skills.
• Quirks: Watch out for his adorable little leg pose when he sits, and his wiggly excitement for treats!
Burt’s ideal home:
• Family Dynamics: Burt craves attention and affection, making him a perfect fit for a family with children above 7 years old.
• Companion preferences: He enjoys the company of small dogs, but the priority is a loving family that showers him with cuddles.
• Home environment: A secure yard for Burt to play in is ideal, along with a clutter-free space to satisfy his puppy curiosity.
• Night-time Routine: Burt loves to sleep close to his humans, be it in bed with you or in his crate in your bedroom.
Health and habits:
• Burt currently weighs 4.4kg and is expected to grow to about 8-9kg. He’s motivated by food, which makes training sessions with treats a joy. He’s also a bit nippy in his playful puppy phase, so having chew toys around is a great idea.
• If left alone for long periods, he may try to escape, so he thrives best with a family that can give him the time and attention he deserves.

Burt's adoption fee is $1000. He is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped. He is in foster care in Wahroonga, NSW.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
