About Josefina
Hola! I’m Josefina. I’m 6 months old and I’m ready to find my forever home. Let me tell you a little about myself…
I am a sweet and spicy little Mexican! Mostly sweet though… I’m very friendly to humans - I bark at strangers because I want to say hello and have them pat me. I’m also friendly to other dogs I meet out and about.
I have some unique skills for a 6 month old - I’m excellent at riding in a bike basket, I can walk well on a lead, am quiet and well-behaved on car rides, and I’m well socialised ((have been out to cafes and pubs), and have spent half my life living the gypsy life in a caravan, so I meet lots of people and doggo’s! I also love going to the beach on my long lead and running crazy! I will fetch toys for as long as you can throw them… getting the toys back off me is the challenge. That’s when things get spicy! 🌶️
I sleep through the night with no accidents, LOVE my food, am toilet trained as long as there is a routine and I’m taken outside regularly, but I do still have the odd accident some days. Foster mum says I’m on my ‘Pee’ plates … yep, she’s a real comedian 🙄
I can happily be an only dog and keep myself entertained with lots of toys and enrichment, but I wouldn’t mind a playmate, as long as they understand I’m the boss! I currently stay with an older dog, but she gets cranky at me for not giving her enough space. I also wouldn’t like to be left alone all day long by myself.
I have had a negative past experience with a child who treated me like a toy, so I wouldn’t like to be put in that position again. Mature kids who know how to respect dogs I can deal with.
Now although I talked myself up earlier, I’m not perfect and I do still need consistent training because I’m still very young. I do bark a bit when I hear noises and get excited, but I can be distracted with treats. I’m very smart and know how to ‘sit’, ‘go to bed’ & ‘up’ (up the stairs to go inside)
If you want a wing girl to go on adventures with, then I may strongly consider your application.
