About Squirt
Squirty boy would like to say hi - he’s a Chihuahua x Cattle Dog but if you like small dogs, please don’t stop reading here.
His speckled legs are about his only nod to his cattle dog ancestors. Dad is a gorgeous tiny Chihuahua, mum is cattle x chihuahua, only standing 30cm high. So Squirt is actually three parts chihuahua, one part cattle dog. He tops the scales at 2.2 kg at 15 weeks of age, so he’s not going to be very big.
Squirt was a little stand-offish for the first day after arriving in our home, but quickly became our little mate.
He loves other dogs but isn’t too sure of our cats - I think he’s a bit intimidated by them.
Squirt’s a smart little dude who catches on to what’s required of him pretty quickly - after a couple of initial yanks and yelps (of his own doing)he now trots along perfectly on leash.
He doesn’t mind a bath, nor some water to splash in, in this hot weather.
Feeding times are easy, he eats his meat (cooked or raw) with rice and veggies, eggs and puppy biscuits.
If you’re after a low maintenance cuddle bug, Squirt could fit the bill - just an occasional brushing will keep his coat in tip top condition.
Medical notes
Squirt will be desexed this week.

Tell us about the home and lifestyle you can offer a dog.
We are interested in your family situation (who is in your family) their work/study hours, how long the dog would be left alone during a typical week.
What you can offer a dog in terms of activities and outings.
If you have other pets - in most cases we look favourably on a home with an existing dog or the possibility of adding another dog at a later stage (the exception would be if the dog being rehomed is not so good with other dogs).
Please also let us know where the dog will sleep and if he/she will be welcomed inside.
