About Elf
Meet Elf, a stunning 1.5-year-old Kelpie x Border Collie with a joyful and quirky nature.
Although still finding her confidence, this sweet, floofy girl loves to be close to her trusted humans, either pottering around the yard or snoozing under the desk on working from home days. She's always up for a game, especially if it involves playing tug, chasing the flirtpole, or zooming after her foster siblings when they play fetch.
Elf's confidence shines when she's exploring the bush, especially if it involves swimming and sniffing. She is an active girl who will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation. But when it's time to chill, she has a great off-switch.
Elf LOVES other dogs! She has great manners meeting new dogs, enjoys bouncing around with the playful ones and respects the cranky ones’ space. She gains much confidence from other dogs and will need at least one playful and confident dog in her new home to lead the way.
Elf arrived in a care a skinny and scared wildling. Although she has grown in confidence and shown surprising resilience, she still finds strangers, loud noises and busy environments quite scary. She would thrive in a rural home, where she has plenty of room to run around with her doggy pal(s), and with patient humans who will give her the time she needs to trust.
If you think Elf is your perfect match, send us an application outlining the life you can offer her.
Elf is located in the ACT.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
