About Maggie
Huskies are among the most identifiable and attractive breeds thanks to their thick, double-coated fur, pointed eats and bushy tail. The Husky is one of the oldest dog breeds in the world. Known for its strength, speed and stamina, a Husky makes for a loyal and affectionate companion!
Maggie is a Medium size dog with a BIG personality! She is everything and more that a Husky's temperament should be, Friendly, Playful, Intelligent and Loyal... Oh so Loyal!!!
Maggie craves company and loves nothing more then spending as much time as possible with her owners. She has a great sense of humour that comes with her playful side to, in saying that she does display an independent side to her nature as well as often being mischievous
Suited to a family with an active life style and who will spend a lot of time with her out doors going having fun exploring times. A family who will spend time with her training and just having FUN!!! This girl is all about the fun..
With a dense, double coat that features a soft undercoat covered by an outer coat of straight, smooth-lying guard hair, Maggie will need a regular brushing to remove any shed or loose hair. Brushing 2 or 3 times a week is recommended.
Currently while Maggie is hanging out at BARC she has made a few new friends which she is hanging out with and LOVING it... She loves her friends that much that when she seeing them it's just straight into play.
Kids who are old enough to understand and help out with the training of Maggie! She is a very excitable dog who LOVES people and saying hello... She is learning that jumping on people isn't the way to greet however this is something that will need to be followed through with at home and if the kids are young there is a change she will knock them over!
All in all this girl is just beautiful... all the staff adore her and she just loves meeting new people!
To book a meet and greet with Maggie please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
