About Suki
This striking girl is Suki, a 3 year old friendly and fun-loving Border Collie. Guaranteed to be the prettiest pooch on your morning walks, she is now ready and waiting to meet her new forever family.
Suki's personality:
Suki is a 3 year old, short-haired Border Collie who is filled with fun, adventure and friendliness. Whilst she gets along very well with other dogs and loves running along the beach or at the dog park with her doggy friends, Suki has one main agenda - playing with her balls! Whether it’s a carefully selected ball from her favourite collection or one she just so happens to be walking past at the time, this beautiful girl will happily chase them for hours! Once game time is over, pats, cuddles and belly rubs are a must for this affectionate girl. When it’s time to nap, Suki likes to snuggle up nice and close, either on the lounge or in bed - wherever you choose!
Suki is very used to travelling in the car and happily jumps in the back seat when it’s time for an adventure, often falling asleep to and from her destination. If she is at home and sees cars or other moving vehicles going past however, she gets frightened and tends to bark at them. For this reason we anticipate she may be better suited to a quiet area of suburbia or perhaps even out of town to reduce this apparent stress caused by moving vehicles.
Suki's ideal forever home:
Suki is an active girl who will ideally require an equally active family who will exercise her daily at a minimum. She will love a home with a big, fenced backyard for all of that ball chasing, or perhaps even acreage where she can run and fulfil her other love of chasing shadows! As mentioned earlier, a quiet area of suburbia or an out-of-town residence may be better suited in order to help reduce the stress caused to Suki by moving vehicles.
Suki would suit a home with an existing doggie companion to play with. Although she hasn’t been around children on a regular basis, we anticipate that with her gentle nature she would suit a family with children around the age of 8 years and above. Having a capable ball thrower is a must!
Suki's story:
Suki has lived in the same loving home since she was just 6 weeks old, but due to her owners now living in a retirement residence, they had to make the heartbreaking decision to find Suki a new home. This beautiful girl requires the space to run around and enjoy herself, which unfortunately her owners could no longer provide for her. It was in Suki’s best interest to start the search for her new loving family who can give her the home life she needs and deserves. She has been extremely well loved and cared for and will remain with her original owners until she is rehomed with her new forever family.
More about Suki:
Suki is simply adorable! She is a very loving dog who will bring much joy and companionship to her new family. Whether it’s outdoor adventures, going on walks together or chasing balls in the backyard, or snuggle-time indoors at the end of a fun day, this beautiful girl will be your greatest loyal friend. If you feel like Suki is the missing piece to your family, please feel free to fill out an adoption questionnaire today!
Medical notes
Suki's medical history:
Suki is a very happy and healthy girl, who currently takes daily medication to reduce her anxiety. Depending on her progress however, she could potentially come off this medication under vets care and advice.
Suki is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is kept up to date with all flea, tick and worming preventatives.
